You Can Perfect Your Smile with Bonding
All of us at Belmar Smiles know that life can become hectic. From raising kids and working hard to playing sports and taking vacations, a lot happens. So it is no surprise to us when a client reveals a chipped or otherwise problematic tooth, and we want to help. Using advanced dental research, we can fix any broken or damaged tooth with a process called ‘tooth bonding’.
Why would you need tooth bonding?
Bonding can correct various dental issues. Bonding is usually utilized to fix chipped teeth and is very effective for this purpose. Dental bonding can also fill gaps in between teeth, enlarge small teeth, and whiten teeth.
What is it?
When our dentist, Dr. Christina Sehy VerSchave, bonds a material, such as composite resin, to your tooth surface, it is known as tooth bonding.
How does the bonding process work?
Before the bonding process, Dr. Christina Sehy VerSchave selects a shade of resin that matches the natural shade of your teeth. Because of this first step, the final result can appear very authentic. After your selection is made, the doctor can begin the bonding phase.
It begins with tooth preparation which assists the material in gripping the tooth more efficiently. When the tooth is ready, Dr. Christina Sehy VerSchave quickly mixes the resin and forms it onto it. During application, she shapes the material to match your tooth and then uses a light to harden it. After the resin is set, the dentist may polish it for finalizing effects. And, usually in just one appointment, your smile is new and brightly shining again.
